Here we have another example of a fully restored and painted ceiling in a period house in Dublin.
We stripped off its old lining paper, with exposed cracks coming through. Next, we filled those cracks and lined ceiling with fibreglass covering. Then we painted two coats of white emulsion to finish.
Using this method when restoring ceilings in period houses ensures that the cracks will not return, whilst reinforcing the existing structure of the ceiling.
